The Degus have been on high alert all day. A continuous squeak/chirp has them all on Deguscon 5. They can even make the noise whilst eating, which is quite some achievement. I think the alarm was first raised when 'someones' loud snoring spooked them - I hasten to add it wasn't me !!!
