Please be aware that after a relatively mild winter Britain is about to experience a dramatic drop in temperature. This means any rabbits, guinea pigs or other small furries that are housed outside are at particular risk. If you can, put their hutch in a shed or garage for the next week at least. Add plenty of hay and extra covers for insulation. Keep them warm, dry and check their water bottles regularly. They will also need extra portions of fresh food and more pellets as all their energy will be used in keeping their body temperature constant. If this is not possible, please consider booking them into small pet accommodation. You could just be saving their lives.
